Laura Smith

Laura Smith (b. 1980) completed her BA at the Slade School of Fine Art in 2003 and went on to win the Richard Ford Award from The Royal Drawing School in 2004.

Laura graduated with an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2012, winning the Clare Winsten Memorial Award. She was shortlisted for the Threadneedle Prize in 2011 and 2016. In 2022, she became a member of the New English Art Club and now shows with them every year.

Her work has been exhibited widely, including at the Royal Academy of Arts, Browse & Darby, Piano Nobile, Ruth Borchard Collection, Crean & Company and 155A Gallery.

Laura currently lives and works in London and teaches at Heatherley School of Fine Art.
