Emily Patrick (b. 1959) is a figurative painter based in Greenwich, South London. She grew up on a farm in Kent, where she painted from a young age.

After studying architecture at Cambridge, she moved to London to concentrate full-time on painting, initially with a focus on portraits. Commissions included former Chairman of the Arts Council Lord Cottesloe; Diana, Princess of Wales; shoe designer Emma Hope; and actor Sir Mark Rylance.

Today, Emily predominantly paints landscape and still life subjects, using oil and tempera on panel. She often incorporates abstract or surreal elements in her paintings, inspired by her home and travels.

Painting is an opportunity to offer people a different energy. Human nature feeds on gentle beauty; peace, tenderness, delicacy, complex colours and touch, the randomness of nature, the tolerance of dirt.
